Using emoticons in Myspace IM
- Go to your Myspace IM.
- Click on FILE.
- Click on Preferences.
- Click on Emoticons & Zaps.
- To make your own Emoticons, click on the Emoticon bubble and click ADD.
- This opens a new window for searching for files on your computer to open.
- Go to your desired picture or animation, remember that the picture needs to be under 100KB.
- Once you have clicked on your picture, then click on OPEN.
- Type in a keyboard shortcut in the box below. (if you opened a picture of your dog for example, then you would type in "dog" or the name of your dog for the 10. shortcut. Every time that you then type the shortcut during your IM, then your picture will appear instead of the text.)
- Finish by clicking Save Changes.
